Pan for Gold in the Alaskan Wilderness

If you are a gold panning enthusiast or wanting to try something new, our gold panning adventure is right for you. The day starts with a scenic flight tour over the tundra landscape, west of Lake Clark in one of the Stinsons, tail wheel aircraft equipped with large tires to assist in off airport landings. After roughly 45 minutes the plane lands on a knoll in the tundra where the gold claim is. A short walk from the knoll will bring you to the small tundra stream where the panning will take place. If you have never panned for gold before, do not worry, our guides will be there to assist and instruct you in the art of gold panning
