Service Description

Package #8 Wildlife Viewing and Catch-and-Release Fishing Combo This option is designed for those who want to take in the spectacular sights as well as pursue some of Alaska’s freshwater fish species. The tours allow time for checking out the local wildlife, viewing the landscape, and casting for a variety of fish. Day 1: -3:30 p.m. check in at Anchorage, Merrill Field for Lake Clark scenic tour. The tour (approximately 1 hour) takes you through the scenic Lake Clark Pass, where you will see glaciers and glacial streams in one of Alaska’s most beautiful mountainous settings, ending at The Farm Lodge and Lake Clark Resort on Lake Clark. -Check in to Lake Clark Resort. Lodging includes a room with private bath, home-cooked Alaskan meals,* and daily housekeeping. Day 2: -Fire and Ice Tour and fishing for Arctic Grayling, Arctic Char, and Lake Trout. This day takes you over and into some of Alaska’s most rugged and breathtaking landscapes. The day includes time on remote lakes for exploring and sightseeing focusing on glacial landscape, active volcanoes, mountain lakes, and tundra landscape, and catch-and-release fishing. Day 3: -Guided bear viewing and fishing for Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, and Dolly Varden. Travel by floatplane to a remote destination where you will spend the first part of an exciting day viewing and photographing Alaska’s notorious Grizzly and Brown Bears feeding and interacting in their natural environment. After bear viewing, your pilot will take you to some of the areas most productive fishing holes. Day 4: -Guided tundra wildlife/sightseeing tour and fishing for Dolly Varden and Arctic Grayling. Our special bush-equipped wheelplane will take you over the tundra in search of caribou, other wildlife, and scenic landscape. The day includes flightseeing as well as off-airport landings for sightseeing, photography, and fishing. Day 5: -Guided sightseeing and fishing for Arctic Grayling, Lake Trout, and Northern Pike on Lake Clark. Lake Clark is over 40 miles long and offers access to spectacular scenery and numerous fishing holes accessible by boat. Day 6: -Local unguided hiking to the Lake Clark National Park Service Visitor’s Center, Tanalian Falls, and Kontrashibuna Lake. Day 7: -9:00 a.m. check out and scenic tour (approximately 1 hour) ending at Anchorage, Merrill Field. -PRICE= $8290.00 per person (party of 2) in standard room, or $8535.00 per person (party of 2) in suite-style room.
